We're absolutely thrilled to be champions of love, and it's such an honor when fellow advocates invite us to coordinate, design, or plan their special day. Working with R&L was an absolute delight, and we can't wait to share these stunning pictures and details with you!

A couple standing under a chuppah.
The Chuppah of our dreams.

R&L pulled off an incredible feat by planning their wedding in DC while living out of state, finally moving back just before the big day—talk about wedding pros! Their top priority? Doing it TOGETHER.

The wedding day kicked off with a cozy breakfast and getting ready together. It was truly a family affair, with loved ones by their side all morning. They strolled from their hotel to the venue, hitting up fun spots along the way. After signing the Ketubah, the ceremony commenced.

The art gallery was magically transformed into a stunning Jewish ceremony space, adorned with lush blooms and two cherished hand-made items from dear friends. One friend crafted their Chuppah, while another crocheted the canopy. The Chuppah symbolizes home, and having these heartfelt contributions made it incredibly sentimental and special—a true testament to the wonderful community R&L have built around them.

The cocktail hour launched with a brief Yichud and loads of fun with family and friends. The appetizers? Absolutely killer and beautiful to boot. As guests mingled, the ceremony space morphed into a dining room set for dancing and an incredible dinner. It wasn't a walk in the park—DC flips are quite the logistical adventure. The rental company, caterer, and coordination teams worked in harmony to unveil pre-set tables, remove the pipe and drape, set up a new bar, move chairs, and light candles. The result? A dreamy space with a loving head table and dance floor at its heart.

As guests transitioned from cocktail hour to the reception, a lively dance break kicked off dinner. The Horah was a must, of course! Some of our favorite photos capture R&L in the chairs under the epic bistro lights. The hanging greenery, lush flowers, and exquisite linens were just the beginning—so many great details went into their decor.

As the night unfolded and the dance floor came alive, the bride's cane transformed into a limbo stick (you gotta do what you gotta do when recovering from ACL surgery, right)? Cardboard cutouts of the couple bopped along, and late-night pizza was served!

We're so thankful that when we do get to work in DC - it's a BLAST.

We're so thankful that Kelly Loss Photo connected us to R&L.
