On a perfect August day, B&M had their magical, musical, and free-spirited wedding with their family and friends. Glen Ellen was the perfect backdrop with lush gardens and landscaping, precious meadows, and a cozy manor house. Every spot on the property was explored by their guests!

B&M wanted to make sure they were as present as possible during their wedding day and wanted as much alone time together as possible. The photography team and SBD team made sure to stay just beyond arm's reach so we could still capture and assist them. B&M opted for a private first look on the 2nd-floor balcony and a private first dance in the shaded meadow during cocktail hour.

The bride and groom's vision for their wedding was to create an enchanting atmosphere reminiscent of a magical mermaid garden. This concept was delicately woven into every aspect of the event, from the decor to the personal accents and even the bride's attire. The choice of lavender and yellow hues not only added a touch of whimsy but also evoked a sense of tranquility and elegance. The incorporation of seashells further enhanced the theme, bringing a coastal charm to the celebration. The decor was carefully curated to reflect the couple's free-spirited nature while maintaining a chic and sophisticated aesthetic. Each element, from the floral arrangements to the table settings, was thoughtfully selected to create a harmonious blend of natural beauty and artistic flair. The overall effect was a celebration that felt both intimate and grand, a true reflection of the couple's unique personalities and love story.

The Irish Ceili (kay-lee) kicked off after dinner with guests joining in with their instruments! Guests were guided by the Ceili caller and learned some traditional and fun dances. The groom and father of the groom even played along in the band with their accordions. Truly something we've never seen at a wedding before! Of course, thanks to Cory at Burnside Events, a wild dance floor closed out the night.

I love the idea of the private first look and first dance, especially since it gave the couple some quiet moments together during such a busy day . The mermaid garden theme with lavender, yellow, and seashell details sounds absolutely gorgeous without feeling overdone. And having the groom and his father play accordions during the Irish Ceili is such a memorable personal touch. It really sounds like a celebration that was unique to the couple and full of moments their guests will remember.
